Transfers of data to the UK following Brexit

Ibec held a briefing with the Data Protection Commission (DPC) on the impact of a no-deal Brexit on data protection compliance on Monday 25 February 2019. A webinar was produced for members who could not attend the event which is available on our website along with slides from the briefing.

In an earlier edition of the ezine we discussed the guidance issued by the DPC on how businesses can prepare for a “no-deal” Brexit and ensure that the transfer of personal data to the UK, including Northern Ireland can be transferred legally.

Ibec have also issued guidance on the impact of potential no-deal scenario on data transfers.
