SFA Business Bytes - “Succession Planning – The time is now”

The SFA believes that the scope for improving the performance of SMEs through development of management skills and capability is considerable and in this regard the SFA established “SFA Business Bytes”.  SFA Business Bytes, with the partnership of Bord Gais Energy, offer unparalleled access to a wide range of high quality training events which are entirely free of change to attend.

This month’s seminar is titled “Succession planning – The time is now!”  Succession planning, either a transfer to the next generation or a sale to a third party, is one of the most important decisions that has to be made in the lifecycle of any business. It is important that the taxation considerations are addressed in a timely manner in particular the availability of the various taxation reliefs.  The 2012 Finance Act has made significant changes to these reliefs and it is important that businesses and their shareholders consider the impact of those amendments.

Gerry Vahey, Tax Partner and Cormac Kelleher, Tax Manager with Mazars will present on the availability of these reliefs, practical methods of maximising the tax efficiency of these reliefs and the impact of the most recent changes.

This seminar is taking place in Lansdowne Football Club, Lansdowne Road.  Registration commences at 6pm, with the presentation taking place from 6.30-7.30pm.

There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and the seminar will be immediately followed by refreshments and networking
