GDPR Practical workshop – Join us for this interactive GDPR event on 9 March

On Friday 9 March from 8am to 11am we will be hosting a practical, interactive GDPR workshop whereby attendees will be presented with three case studies to explore a specific GDPR issue. These are:

  • Understanding a data retention policy and preparing for data access requests
  • Gaining knowledge on acquiring and documenting consent in relation to marketing activities
  • Preparing a contingency plan for a data breach and key considerations around it

Attendees at the event will receive a copy of our new GDPR publication, which will be launched on the day. The event is FREE to SFA members and is €95 for non-members. Places are very limited so book your place today.

On 30 January the Irish Data Protection Bill 2018 was published and is now available on the GDPR portal on the SFA website here.

Next week we will look at privacy notices and what should be included in them.  In the meantime you can avail of the GDPR toolkit to conduct your GDPR audit from the SFA website which you can download here.

If you would like more information on GDPR or to discuss your requirements further please contact Helen at SFA on 01 605 1668 or at helen.quinn@sfa.ie or visit our GDPR section on www.sfa.ie
