SFA launch new GDPR publication

Last Friday saw a great turnout of our members as they all received a copy of our new GDPR publication, ‘Mind your business: Prepare for GDPR’.

With this publication the SFA, as a membership organisation and a service provider, is responding to the needs of the small business sector in Ireland. The publication gives practical guidance on how your business can get GDPR-ready. With the help of four case studies, we provide you with a step-by-step guide to GDPR.

Addressing the launch event, Dale Sunderland recognised the more challenging position for small business adapting to GDPR as they often have to act as manager, board and employee.

The morning then had three thematic sessions: GDPR and HR; GDPR and marketing: managing consent; and Data breaches: what to do.

The first session was conducted by Fleur O’Shea from ByrneWallace, the second was delivered by Helen Quinn, SFA and the final session was with Gerard Joyce from CalQRisk.  All speakers at the event made sure that the information was interesting, relevant and constructive for the audience.

Our new publication is available on our website through the membership portal.  If you would like more information on GDPR or to discuss your requirements further, please contact Helen at SFA on 01 6051668 or at helen.quinn@sfa.ie or visit our GDPR section on www.sfa.ie/advice.
